Crooks family

Reader warning: Long, long post.
A couple of weeks ago we had our dear friends, the Crooks family, come and stay with us for a few days.  It was so fun to catch up with them (and their family has expanded by +2 since the last time we were together!) and of course, we had to do a photo shoot while they were here.  We picked the most gorgeous summer evening on our farm.  I have so many favorites of this session, it is really hard to narrow down, but here are a *few*

 Summer night + old red barn + watermelon + denim quilt + two adorable toddlers perfectly dressed for the occasion = really, really cute photos!

 The way you envision family photos going in your head:
 The way they usually go:

 ahhhh...summer bliss!

Crooks family: let's not wait so long to do it again!

Eisley {Bismarck Heritage Center Family Photography}

Last time you saw Eisley on my blog here, it was a year ago. I am always amazed by the change that happens in that first year of life. We met up at the Heritage Center in Bismarck.  She made us work hard for a few half smiles, but she is such a sweet baby!

I would love to expand my business to doing a few more sessions in the Bismarck area. Contact me at resolutionsphotography@gmail.com to schedule a session! I will be scheduling a couple of weekends this summer and early fall in Fargo, and will also be doing a very reasonably priced mini-session day at my farm 45 minutes from Bismarck. If you have inquiries about these sessions, feel free to contact me by email as well. Thank you!

Gerken family

I have photographed this family several times (and the mama is a friend of mine) and they recently added to their family through the blessing of adoption. This mom and dad and big brother are THRILLED with their new baby and I think she is just beautiful!

Gage, Colton & Logan

I had lots of fun on a beautiful summer night shooting a session for this family at our farm. It was extra-fun because the boys' mom is a friend of mine, and their dad I have literally known most of my life! The first time I saw Gage, Colton and Logan, I remember thinking how much I would love to photograph them...love those big, beautiful eyes and looooooong eyelashes! So sweet!

Bobb family

This is one of my favorite sessions I have done in awhile. Although we did a few different locations for this session, the ones we did in this wheat field were my absolute favorites. The best part of these photographs is how you can see the love radiating out of them, it is so unmistakable. This session was one of those I had the privilege of doing that makes me remember why I love doing this. Anything can get monotonous if you do it enough, even something as creative and passion-driven as photography. It's nice to have those sacred moments that you are blessed enough to be able to capture with a camera to remember why you started doing this in the first place.
