Ryker has THE BEST big brown eyes! He is also at the absolute PERFECT age for a photo session...not yet walking, but able to sit or stand and super smiley and sweet!

Beckam
Little Beckam's session was the first session I have been able to shoot outdoors since last fall! In addition to our late Spring we have had more than our share of rain, cold and wind making it not good outdoor shooting weather. I love shooting outdoors, and feel like my right arm is missing all winter long when I do indoor-only sessions (although I do love those great crystal-clear headshots that I can only get in my studio!). Isn't he a cutie? And he is soon to be (if he isn't already) a big brother!

Johnson family
Photographing this crew was a pleasure for me because it's so fun to see a group of siblings who mesh together as well as these four do. I am sure their mom and dad see their share of squabbles and feuds, but in my studio the day of their session, they were nothing but helpful and pleasant with each other. (Maybe they can come to my house and teach my boys a few things!)
Little Nora wasn't thrilled about taking individual photos, but she is so cute with her little pouty face!
(Wish I was this cute when I pout!)
Thomas is absolutely heart-melting in this photo. Don't you just want to squeeze him?
I think you can see the great sibling chemistry in these silly photos...
And I LOVE these of mom and her kiddos!
One of my photog friends told me one time that photos that tell a story should be in black and white. I absolutely agree! I think these mother/child photos, although somewhat formal in nature, do tell a story! They tell a story of a mama who loves her kids with all of her heart...I think you can really see it come through in the photos!

Megan and Michael
I am having a photo-editing marathon at my house today, and I am hoping to get almost all caught up with pending edits before I am "out of the office" starting on Friday. I hope to have a few sneak peeks up over the next day or two.
First up is a quick post of Megan and Michael. Aren't they the cutest? You would think photographing two year old twins would be a huge challenge, but with Megan and Michael it's actually pretty easy!

Rylan and Kellen
These are familiar faces on my blog, and this is another family where I photographed older sibling at the same age as the baby of the family! It's always so fun to watch families grow and change.
When Ryland was Kellen's age, he wore this exact golf outfit for his photos. So cute!

Alice
Ryan and Kara are friends of ours (and Kara is actually my cousin, too!). I had the privilege of shooting their maternity and newborn photos when sweet Evelyn was born. Now, they are a family of four with the addition of beautiful little Alice! You absolutely HAVE to see their birth video shot by the very talented Penny Marie. It will make your day. Click here to see it. And yes, I can attest to the fact that Ryan and Kara are one of the most beautiful couples I know in every day life too (not just when they're having a baby!). Their love and devotion to each other and to their sweet little family is inspiring to me and anyone who gets to know them.
Alice, you have many smiles in your future with the mama and daddy you have!

Brynn
One of the best parts of what I do is going through all the stages with a family. The first thing you get to be a part of is photographing the precious newborn (and in Brynn's case, her beautiful mama-to-be). Next comes the super fun and easy to photograph baby stage! Smiles are easy to come by and the little, chubby legs can't quite go anywhere yet. Then...the toddler years. Oh boy! They are SO cute, and not quite so easy to photograph! Eventually, you get to where Brynn's at right now...easy to photograph and super cute! (The best of both worlds!). And guess what? I get to do it all over again with Brynn's new sibling this fall! So much fun!

Claire and Brooks
Here's another little one with lots of personality! Typically, two year olds make me work to get some good photos, but with Claire it was a breeze! She loved having her photo taken!
Although the photo session was primarily for little sister, Brooks got in on a little of the fun, too!
